Description:

Priyoor is a hybrid mango variety developed by the Kerala Agricultural University. It is a cross between Neelum and Alphonso, combining the regular bearing quality of Neelum and the fruit quality of Alphonso. Priyoor produces attractive golden-yellow fruits with a sweet, aromatic flavor and moderate fiber content.


🌱 How to Plant:

  1. Location: Choose a spot with full sunlight and good air circulation.
  2. Soil: Well-drained loamy or sandy loam soil is ideal. Avoid waterlogged areas.
  3. Pit Preparation:
    • Dig a pit of 2 ft x 2 ft x 2 ft.
    • Fill with topsoil + compost/FYM + neem cake.
  4. Planting Time: Ideal during June to August or early monsoon.
  5. Spacing: Maintain a spacing of 8-10 ft between plants if planted in the home garden or 10-12 ft in orchards.
